Brian Wachs is a business intermediary for ProHorizons. He consults with parties engaged in the sale or acquisition of tax and accounting practices, and covers Riverside, San Bernardino, Imperial counties, and the San Fernando Valley.
Brian has earned both a BA degree in accounting, as well as a Masters degree in taxation. Upon graduation, he joined the Big 8 firm, KPMG. Brian advanced to the partner level by age 32 and he has served in both small and large firms.
In 2003, Brian and his wife Jacque settled in the Coachella Valley, where he acquired a small firm, which he owned and managed for 15 years. In 2018, he engaged ProHorizons to broker the sale of his practice to a buyer, with whom he still consults on a part time basis. A main reason Brian joined ProHorizons, was his interest to assist other tax practice owners in the same manner ProHorizons assisted him.
Brian has taught both accounting and tax courses at the graduate level of Keller University. He has served as past Chairman of the Palm Springs International Airport Commission. Presently, Brian is President of Mizell Center, the largest senior center in the Coachella Valley. Its Meals on Wheels program serves up to 700 meals a day to homebound seniors.
In his leisure time, Brian enjoys tennis, skiing and traveling. Brian is an avid baseball fan and has travelled to all 30 MLB ballparks.
