Ken Berry
Ken Berry, CBI, is the president of ProHorizons. Ken began working with the ProHorizons in June of 2002 and has filled a number of roles with ProHorizons during that time, including Regional Director, Marketing Director, and Vice President. He is best known in the accounting industry as an intermediary working for practice owners trying to sell or acquire an accounting practice. His focus and specialty has been remote practice sales with listings and closings throughout the United States including the states California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Tennessee, Wyoming, Montana, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Ken regularly presents ProHorizons webinars on Selling, Buying, Financing, Due Diligence and related topics. He is co-author of the book, Successful Practice Sales: The Complete Guide to Buying, Selling or Merging Your Accounting, Consulting or Tax Practice. This 200-page book serves as a guide through every nuance of these potentially daunting business transactions, from exploring the complete lifecycle of a sale to identifying pitfalls to avoid, and much more. Ken’s experience and knowledge in the sale of tax and accounting practices has led the Business Brokerage Press to identify him as an Industry Expert for tax and accounting practice sales.
Ken has earned the highly regarded Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation from the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA). He is a member in good standing of the IBBA and the California Association of Business Brokers (CABB). Ken has a California Real Estate Brokers license (license #188599). He holds a BS in History from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.
Previous to ProHorizons, Ken spent nine years working in marketing, sales and business development at Crisp Learning, a leading publisher of corporate training and personal improvement books, videos and computer-based training programs.
Ken is married to Maureen and he has two wonderful stepchildren. In his free time, he can be found on a mountain bike, running (sometimes from his mountain bike), playing soccer, skiing, or simply embracing his love of food and wine.
